Kitchen design
We specialize in creating kitchens which are indeed the "heart of the home" - from a large family house to a small apartment. Designing Women kitchens are completely custom-designed to suit our clients. The key difference with our approach is that we consider the kitchen in context with the adjacent spaces and the whole home - as well as your lifestyle and, importantly, your budget'.
Sometimes kitchens that are designed by manufacturers don't take into consideration the space needed for the table, sofas and other important components of what we call a "Living Kitchen" - a place for homework or a coffee in the sun for example. A kitchen designed without considering the whole space including furniture and traffic flows is just a set of cupboards. A kitchen should be far more than that. In fact we like to say that "We don't sell you cupboards - we give you a life!"
Sometimes the proposed kitchen is in the wrong part of the house or walls need to be moved or removed. We will happily work with you to get the best possible solution because, as independent designers, we are unrestrained by the need to "sell" a kitchen.
We are often asked "What is your style?". Our answer is that we don't have one. Our job is to create a unique kitchen for every client - from clean and clinical to traditional country and everything in between.
The main thing is that whether you want a minimalist or French Provincial or a comfortable family kitchen it will suit you and your house, work and flow brilliantly and above all feel good! Kitchens that look smart but simply don't work are sadly all too common. We are often called in to make changes to newish, expensive kitchens which look beautiful but are driving their owners crazy!

Once you have a great design that we have created together we will help you find the best manufacturer for your style and budget - we have some excellent cabinetmakers who have been doing our work for many years. We are always there as your advocate and offer practical support to completion.
